Irma Interiors was conceptualized in 2018 when I began creating designs for my own house, Buena Vista. It was love at first sight. Every room was consciously designed and functionally built for every member of the family. Creating this home motivated and inspired me to use my skills and creativity to design beautiful, functional spaces, at the same time enjoyable & minimalistic interiors. I am passionate about organizing and decluttering, efficient in creating space out of a mess gathering concepts from my life experiences as a mother and a home maker. Being a nature lover, I want to be a responsible interior designer taking care of the limited natural resources. I was introduced to eco-friendly sustainable design while I was doing the professional interior design course from the British College of Interior Design. Since then, this concept has become very dear to me, hence I practice and recommend ESD designs & products to my clients.
What is sustainability? Why Sustainable? Sustainability literally means to last longer and be maintained forever. With the growing number of consumers following the latest trends and fashion, people are not aware how it is damaging and adding to the landfill. But slowly there is an increase in awareness towards eco-friendly, sustainable designs. As an interior designer I believe it is my responsibility to advocate and persuade clients to use energy efficient, ecologically sustainable designs/ products to their benefit and help save the limited resources of our only planet Earth.
